Who am I?

I ask myself this every day.

My Name is Isaac Dalhoff.

I do a lot of things, but if I could choose only one word to describe myself, it’d be storyteller.

My B.A. in creative writing would agree with me, if it could talk. I write for the fun of it, crafting up wacky universes with universal truths so that everyone, and anyone, can expose themselves to hard-hitting content. I exposed myself to social media marketing, self-publication practices, and graphic design, all to prepare myself for my first novel’s release.

My stories aren’t limited to novels, though. When I was exposed to user experience design, I found myself engulfed in journey mapping, persona-building, and information architecture. It was storytelling in disguise—I’ve studied how to map out a journey, craft up a compelling character—I’ve done all of it!

UX became a seemingly enigmatic fit for me, so I began Google’s UX Design certification course to test out my abilities. Before long, I had my first portfolio, and my first content design job.

My pursuits don’t end here. I have a million stories to shape. Some of them have required my studying of graphic design to tell visually compelling and engaging pieces of art. Others, mechanical design so that I can craft interactive art-in-motion.

When I’m not continuing my studies, I’m writing blog posts. I must admit, I’m hesitant to mention these. No, I’m not discussing 101 brand-spanking-new (century-old) marketing techniques. I’m just trying to help those out there who may need an inspirational, motivational, and kind voice in their day-to-day.

So that’s me! Isaac Dalhoff; occasional pen-name of Ian Sonovi.
